Ken Sperling

National Health Exchange Strategy Leader

Ken SperlingKen is responsible for business strategy, thought leadership and service innovation across Aon Hewitt’s Health Exchange businesses. During his 20-year tenure with Hewitt, Ken has advised many Fortune 500 companies on their health care strategies and has become a respected resource to Wall Street on health care market trends. Prior to his current role, he was Aon Hewitt’s global health care practice leader.

Ken is a key resource on Aon Hewitt’s Health Care Reform Team, which has advised members of Congress and the White House Administration on the development and implementation of health care reform legislation. Ken has been published in numerous trade and finance journals and co-authored the textbook Fundamentals of Flexible Compensation. He has been quoted in The New York Times, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal and has discussed benefit-related topics on CNN and CNBC. Ken is a frequent speaker domestically and internationally and has testified before the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and House Ways and Means Committee. He has guest lectured at the Harvard Business School, the Yale School of Management and the Yale School of Medicine.

Ken is a graduate of Duke University and holds an M.B.A. from New York University. He serves on the advisory boards of the University of Connecticut’s Health Management Program, the American Benefits Council, Optum Health and Castlight Health.
